The UL Lafayette Foundation has recognized five Eminent Faculty members for their contributions to teaching, research, and commitment to students and campus life. Established in 1965, the awards are the highest recognition the University confers on faculty. 

It is with tremendous pride and pleasure that we announce, Dr. Afef Fekih, Harold Callais/BORSF Endowed Professorship in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the O'Krepki/BORSF Professorship in Telecommunications, as one of the University's Distinguished Professor Award honorees. 

Dr. Fekih is the director of the University's Advanced Control Systems Laboratory and her research was featured by the Thomas Reuters Science Watch Essential Science Indicators.
