Dr. Rafael Hernández, Professor and Department Head of Chemical Engineering, Interim Department Head of Petroleum Engineering, and Associate Director of the Energy Institute of Louisiana, was honored for his pioneering research in sustainable biofuels, industrial catalysis, and wastewater bioprocessing.
